Let’s just cut straight to these Sharon Osbourne quotes she gave to The Daily Beast about Justin Bieber in a recent interview because they bring out a ton of conflicting emotions.
Here you go:
“I feel really bad for him. There’s this little kid with a huge dream, he’s cute, girls love him, and he wants to be a mean boy, and he’s about as mean as a f****in’ kitten, and he’s trying to act out. It’s like pissing in a bucket. It’s like, ‘Oh, we’re the bad boys!’ F*** off! You don’t know what bad is.”
Not much to disagree with there. From lashing out at paparazzi and losing his pet monkey at a customs checkpoint at a German airport, Justin looks a lot like a parody. It’s this next statement that’s a little eh, I don’t know about that, Sharon… (bold our emphasis):
“And I think that he’s lost, I really do. I think he doesn’t realize he’s white and not black, that’s a huge problem. And, at the point he’s at in his career, it’s so dangerous because we’ve seen it all before a million times. Where do you go when you’re a child entertainer and then you want to transition to be a man? Very few make it.”
We're giving her the benefit of the doubt here, she probably didn’t mean that the way it was put. In her statement, she basically implies that if Justin were black then his reckless and rude behavior lately, like peeing in restaurant kitchens and not paying for indoor skydiving lessons would be less controversial, because that’s what black people do?
As for Kanye West, Sharon didn’t mince words, giving him the same critical treatment, saying:
"I have no time for him. He bores me. I said it on the show, he's an average-looking man with an average talent, but he's a great salesman. He should sell cars because they would f***in’ fly out the door. He's his No. 1 fan."
