"OMG did u here?!! seLeNAs & Beibz R over!!!! so worried bout mah boi!! *tears* *more #tears*"
This is the mass text message sent out to all of us over the age of 17-and-a-half by everyone's cousin during her middle school homeroom in regards to the dissolution of Jelena (that's Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, again, for all of us who can drive a car legally).
Like most of us during a post-breakup grieving period Selena's getting through it by partying it up at Hollywood's version of a sleepover for former Disney Stars (the Golden Globes) with Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale. She's sticking fresh-cut girl power daisies in her hair and singing angsty versions of a Justin Timberlake revenge song.
Unlike most of us, she's also turning to Taylor Swift, like, in real life, to get her through this trying time because, "we have both experienced the same things at the same time," Selena explains to Nylon magazine.
“Taylor is one of the most inspirational, positive, good-hearted people I know. I think she’s been a big part of me staying who I am, too...I’ve been through a lot in the past few months. It’s been weird and sad and cool."
Hey, whatever gets a girl through, and looking at the super totally fun few weeks Selena appears to have had on the red carpet lately, she looks to be doing just fine. Just do the high school math: Selena and Justin officially split on December 30th of last year, which is approximately 22 days ago, which in high schooler years is like 702 pre-algebra classes ago, AKA Selena is soooooooo already over this one, obvi.
