For most teenagers, going on a date to the movies means having their parents drop them off and then begging them for $10 to buy Sour Patch Kids. But most teenagers aren’t Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez.
Selena’s 17 year-old boyfriend surprised her with yet another over-the-top date. Bieber rented out an entire movie theater to take Selena to see Real Steel. I don’t know if they’d even let Hugh Jackman do that. (Hugh Jackman stars in the movie, in case you thought I was just being random).
Over the weekend, Justin organized a screening room at the SilverCity Polo Park Cinemas in Winnipeg, Canada to be emptied last Thursday so he and Selena could enjoy their date intimately. Justin also had pizzas delivered to the theater. I guess popcorn and dehydrated hot dog wieners just weren’t good enough.
A source at the venue told Us Magazine: “They made sure to keep everything really under wraps and private. He was really polite and they both thanked everyone before they left."
And if that wasn’t enough to get the kid to third base, Justin then took Selena to an ice hockey game on Saturday night. Surprisingly, he didn’t empty out the entire MTS Centre and make the hockey players play just for them. He did, however, rent out a private suite.
Justin and Selena didn’t exactly take advantage of the “private” part, however, as they were photographed making out with each other all night. They also wore matching hockey shirts that had their names on the backs of them.
Selena is on her North American tour, but took a weekend off to be wooed by her boyfriend. And this guy is really setting the bar high. They’ve only been dating since March, and in September, he emptied the 20,000 capacity Los Angeles’ Staples Center just to watch Titanic with his girlfriend.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll now be asking my boyfriend why he doesn’t close down movie theaters and arenas for me.
Justin Bieber is all set to release his upcoming holiday album, Under the Mistletoe. The album will be released on November 1, but the singer gave fans a sample of what to expect by releasing his Usher duet on Monday.
"Justin and I did the classic record 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.' This record is going to be remembered for years to come," Usher told Ryan Seacrest. "It's a record that has always been one of my favorites, and I'm happy that I was able to share it with Justin, and for us to put it out. The album is full of surprises. Justin's 'Under the Mistletoe' is going to be incredible!"
