Justin Bieber To Visit Springfield On 'The Simpsons’

The “Boyfriend” singer is getting animated in his new project… Literally.

Justin Bieber will reportedly be turning yellow in an upcoming episode of FOX’s long running animated series “The Simpsons.” The news means that the 18-year-old boy wonder will join the ranks of other music industry pros turned Springfield residents, including U2, 50 Cent, Michael Jackson, and Paul McCartney…

The Bieber-Simpson news broke through Biebs himself. And, from the sounds of it, it probably wasn’t supposed to be announced yet…

“Just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy," the Biebs tweeted on Wednesday afternoon.

The Twitter slip-up has since been swiped clean from the site. However, Entertainment Weekly, has confirmed that the rumors are true with the show’s executive producer Al Jean.

In the episode Justin will go toe-to-toe with Bart during a talent show.

“He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won’t admit him,” Jean told the entertainment news source. “Draw your own conclusions.”

The reason for the low-key nature of the appearance is likely because it’s not a full on “Justin Bieber” episode that will center around the teen star. Instead, he’ll just pop up briefly, playing himself.

“It’s a cameo,” notes Jean, “But all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he’s on.”

Prior musical guests like Lady Gaga have generated entire episodes revolving around themselves. In Gaga’s episode, which aired in May, the “You and I” singer steamed into town on a hot pink, high-heeled freight train to close the season out.

Justin’s cameo episode, titled “The Fabulous Faker Boy” is scheduled to air during the 24th season in 2013. The new season premieres on September 30.
