The latest “next big thing” has just been replaced by the newest “next big thing,” both courtesy of Justin Bieber.
In addition to the constant PR campaign of Biebs asserting his brand new manhood, he seems equally determined to assert himself as a talent scout.
OLD NEW NEWS:
Project #1 was a Twitter endorsement of Carly Rae Jepsen, the “Call me, maybe” songstress who’s single has since spent five weeks at number one on the charts, scored her a record deal on Bieber's label, and the title of “opening act” for JB on his “Believe” tour.
All because of 140 characters or less…
NEW NEW NEWS:
Enter Madison Beer, and queue the déjà vu. On Tuesday, Bieber introduced her and her crazy impressive set of pipes, to the world via his 25 million (plus) Twitter followers.
“wow. 13 years old! she can sing. great job. #futurestar-http://youtu.be/_0otR5cFhew”
The attached video features Beer tearing up (in a good way) an Etta James classic, and as of right now, has had nearly 152,000 views, and counting.
She responded appropriately, via Twitter.
“@justinbieber OMGOGMFHAHDBSBAWHEBSBSHHWEHHDXHSHHAFBBAGEEHYBT I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. I AM CRYING.”
Biebs continued with a few more tweeted accolades that included clips and comparisons etc.
Beer is now reportedly in talks with the man who discovered and continues to manage Bieber’s career, Scooter Braun… who now reps Jepsen as well.
You see the pattern here?
But seriously, it’s nice to see that Justin, despite worldwide super stardom, he hasn’t lost touch with his roots and his obscene amount of good fortune due to YouTube and Braun.
Thanks for paying it forward Justin… now, uhm… we have some links we want to send you, can you look at them real quick? Thanks!
