Justin Bieber isn’t too cool to get a little goofy from time to time.
The Biebs showed up on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and took part in a hilarious high school graduation sketch. The segment airs on Wednesday's episode.
“We’re here to honor the accomplishments of the Biebs,” Ellen announces in the skit, “A great American who happens to be from Canada.”
Ellen goes on to talk about his accomplishments, equating his success as an international superstar with her success at 18 of chugging a container of boysenberry syrup at the International House of Pancakes.
The host seats Justin’s mom, his manager, and his road manager for the faux ceremony. She even fits the popstar in a graduation gown and a custom cap that hovers above his head so it would not disturb his infamous hair.
At the end of the event, Ellen presented the singer with a high school diploma.
“This is so official,” a beaming Bieber says.
Of course, the appearance wouldn’t be complete without getting the details on the Selena Gomez. According to Bieber, all is well with their relationship. (Though his answers were a little quick…) But Ellen played girlfriend for the day. Bieber brought her a “Girlfriend” jacket to match the “Boyfriend” one he was wearing.
Oh, one other thing…
Then he announced his new US tour to which the audience proceeded to explode. When Ellen announced everyone in the audience was getting a free pass… well, that about blew the lid off the place.
Dates for the tour stretch from September 2012 through January 2013. If you weren’t one of the fortunate members in the audience, you can buy your very own ticket first thing Thursday morning.
