Say what you want about Justin Bieber and his little chipmunk face, but the kid just donated $500,000 to charity.
The very generous popstar just wrote a check for $500,000 to the Children’s Wish Foundation in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. Do you sometimes forget that Bieber is from Canada? Me too?! He blends in so well, I almost can’t detect his Canadian accent underneath his swagger accent.
The charity is very similar to the Make-A-Wish foundation we have here in the US, which grants wishes to kids suffering from serious illnesses.
Bieber also performed a special benefit show for the kids on Wednesday and met with some of the kids who might benefit from his generous donation. “It means the world to me to perform for you, more here than anywhere else,” said Bieber.
The concert was filmed for Bieber’s Christmas special, not to be confused with his Holiday album, his New Years Eve special, his treelighting special, or any of his Today Show Holiday specials. Justin Bieber: Home For The Holidays will air tonight, only in Canada, which might be the only benefit to being Canadian, other than pronouncing the word “House” and “About” funnily.
And if the check wasn’t enough, the childrens charity will get a proceed of all sales from his last album, Under The Mistletoe.
Bieber really knows how to spread the Holiday cheer. Earlier this month he also bought $100,000 worth of presents for a Las Vegas elementary school.
