Justin Bieber might not have to take crap from his own mom, but for the other moms in the crowd, it’s a different story.
After a 2010 summer concert in Portland, Oregon, the boy wonder is facing some heat from Stacey Wilson Betts, a mother who took her daughter to the show. The performance “exceeded safe decibel levels” and afterwards, she claims she experienced permanent hearing damage and is suing Biebs for it.
TMZ has published the filed lawsuit and reading through the document - which is riddled with poor grammar and typos - reveals the details of her claim.
“I respectfully ask the court to grant an award of $9,230,00.00 for expenses,” the document reads.
Let’s ignore the fact that she has too many zeros for a second… 9 million?! Are you kidding me? The lady who burned her crotch on McDonald’s coffee didn’t even get $3 mil.
In the document, Stacey takes on the role of sound physicist, stating that the heart-shaped metal structure Bieber was sitting on as he levitated over screaming fans caused the problem.
“Mr. Bieber created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the area,” it reads. “The gondola that Justin Bieber was suspended in acted as a sound conductor creating a sound blast.”
The “blast,” Stacy claims, permanently damaged her hearing, causing hyperacusis and tinnitus, a “loud high pitched, whoosing, pulsating sound … which creates anxiety, loss, of sleep, and depression.”
In addition to the teen, Stacy is suing the concert producer Island Def Island Def Jam Records and the venue owner Vulcan Sports and Entertainment.
“My quality of life has been permanently reduced in addition to the injury,” she finished.
Look at the bright side, Stacy… If you go deaf, you won’t have to hear any more of Bieber’s allegedly ear shattering music!
