Justin Bieber. biography
Born March 1, 1994, in Stratford, Canada to single mother Pattie Mallette, Justin Bieber was the first, successful YouTube phenomenon. After placing second in a talent competition, Justin's YouTube hit projected him into the lucrative music business and landed him a record contract with Usher.
Justin later became the first solo artist to have four singles enter the Top 40 before releasing his debut album.
Today Justin lives and works in Atlanta, a long ways from his childhood hometown of Stratford. Raised by his single mother, Justin had a sense of connection with music growing up but was never professionally trained. His mom gave him a drum kit for his second birthday and he says, "basically banging on everything I could get my hands on."
Although an unconventional way to start a music career, Justin frequented local talent shows while his Mom sat in the crowd, recording his every move. Little did they know, by placing second in the competition and posting clips of him performing covers of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Ne-Yo on YouTube would launch his career and make him a worldwide sensation over night. He soon acquired a vast following of screaming fans, along with an enthusiastic manager ready to fly to Atlanta for a big record deal. Once he met Usher, they both knew he was getting a contract.
After Justin released his first single "One Time" in 2009, it immediately went platinum in Canada. His album My World quickly followed and had equivalent success, selling more than 135,000 copies in its first week. In 2010, Justin's single "Baby" hit the Billboard Top 10, followed closely by the release of his second album My World 2.0, which gave fans what they wanted - more songs.
Justin achieved even more success in 2011 with his concert documentary Never Say Never hitting the big screen. His fans anxiously waited in front of theaters, eager to see his talent on stage and get an inside look on his life behind the scenes. The movie had guest appearances by Miley Cyrus, Usher, and Kanye West but Justin's ability to mesmerize an audience with his presence and voice was the reason why the movie earned more than $73 million at the box office.
Following the release of his 2011 holiday classics album, which features a duet with Mariah Carey, Justin dropped his next album Believe (2012) with its hit single "Boyfriend" tearing up the charts.

Justin dated Caitlin Beadles, who's the sister of Justin's best friend, dated briefly but broke up once he found fame. Rumors flew in June 2010 of their renewed romance after Twitter posts from both parties suggested they were in the Bahamas with each other. Justin quickly shut down all rumors by announcing he's "single and ready to mingle" on his Twitter page.
When Justin featured actress Kristin Rodeheaver in his One Time music video, it was assumed the two were more than business partners. They were photographed together on multiple occasion but both parties never confirmed they were dating.
July 2010 - November 2010
Justin was reportedly spotted by a Canadian tourist, making out with Jasmine Villegas (16) in the back of Honda in Venice, California. Many perceived that they had been dating for a few months prior but both insisted they were "just cool friends."
August 2010 - August 2010
In 2010, Justin told British newspaper The Sun: "I would love to take her out for dinner. . . It would be great if she could come to one of my concerts, then we could hang out afterwards. I love the fact she is one of the biggest female movie stars, but has chosen to go back to college. It shows she is really grounded and normal." It was rumored they go together but it seems like Justin has fellow-fame crush.
In 2011, Mariah Yeater, filed a lawsuit alleging that Justin fathered her 3 month old baby. Justin's camp immediately denied the claims that they had a one-time tryst backstage during a show. There was no reason to believe this was possible, especially after looking at her picture.
January 2011 - 2013
Justin and Selena Gomez were rumored to be dating in late 2010 but their relationship reached a new level in 2011 when photos showed the two cuddling while hanging out by the poolside in Mexico.
Despite thier on-and-off romance, Justin later admitted in a 2013 issue of In Touch magazine that he couldn't "wait to have a beautiful wife and little kids running around."
Like always, however, the two broke up later that year.
