Last week we saw the mega-popular trailer for a very dark interpretation of the Snow White tale that stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. That movie was called “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
So, to be clear, there are two trailers out for two DIFFERENT movies about Snow White that will be premiering next year. If it gets too confusing, just refer to one of them as “The Kristen Stewart Snow White movie” and the other one as the “Julia Roberts Snow White Movie.”

So why do celebs pass on these epic roles? Sometimes it's scheduling conflicts. Sometimes they're just too busy. And sometimes, a story about a ghost stalking his ex-girlfriend just sounds silly. Either way, there are plenty of stars who missed out on legendary gigs because they didn't make it work. Here are ten celebrities that passed up big movie roles. Check out our comparisons below...
Molly Ringwald: Molly Ringwald could've made it past the eighties if she would've said yes to the lead role in Pretty Woman or Ghost. What was she waiting for? You don’t get any more interesting than movies about hookers and ghosts. She was also offered a part in Scream but turned it down because she was in her late twenties and didn’t want a teenage role. Can you imagine her replacing Julia Roberts?

Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker top the list, each bringing in $30 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Apparently, producers believed people were actually going to sit through Salt.
Alright, alright. Because these two donate so much to charity, I can’t give them too hard of a time. Besides, I think opening weekend of Sex and the City 2 speaks for itself.
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon come in third, and at this point, I think it’s safe to take your hand off your mouse, stand up...

I’m at a loss for words when it comes to Lady Gaga’s fashion statements, but this is a story, and I guess I have to say something. So I’ll just remind you of a few female celebs who have sported hairy pits over the years....

Chilean newspaper salesman, Miljenko Parserisas Bukovic, has a whopping 82 tattoos of Roberts’ face all over his body. When I look at that picture, all I can hear is the music from Cape Fear.
Bukovic said, “The woman is great, she’s beautiful.”
After the first tattoo, I’m sure his family thought, “Ok. That's weird, but I guess it’s original.” The second one was teetering on obsessive, but yeah…after the third, his family really should’ve had an intervention.
I mean, this is the kind of guy, who, when you realize the extent of his insanity, you just put your hands up, slowly back away from, and say you don’t want any trouble. Not that it would be less creepy if he was good looking, but…actually, yeah, I think that might help.
"Once I was talking to him about 'Pretty Woman,'" said Bukovic’s tattoo artist. "And no, he doesn't like me to talk about Julia Roberts [in that film] because she's a prostitute there.
This is why I don't leave the country.

Both Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts are in talks to take on the role of the Evil Queen in the much anticipated Snow White movie--or should I say movies?
According to Deadline, Charlize is in talks to play the evil queen in Snow White and the Huntsman over at Universal, while Julia is thinking of playing the Evil Queen in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White for Relativity Media.
Apparently Natalie Portman is interested in staring in the same version Julia is in talks for, while Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley and Felicity Jones are interested in the Charlize version.
They should just join forces and make one kick @ss version of the movie. Which version sounds more exciting to you? Charlize's or Julia's?

Brad Pitt is willing to be an assistant to a sumo wrestler, George Clooney pretends he drives a Honda and Cameron Diaz can act like she needs a refresher course in English--and they did all for the Benjamin's!
Check out these five overseas commercials that feature George, Brad, Julia, Cameron and Madonna...now we know how they buy those private planes and French chateaus!
George Clooney's Honda Commercial
George Clooney is used to private jets and chauffeured cars, but when Honda came knocking on his door with a big paycheck, he was totally willing to pretend he drives one. Clooney made millions off this Japanese Honda Odyssey commercial that was actually shot in Milan. Score! He had fun playing around with the cameras and flirting with the ladies on set, so it was clearly a win-win situation for everyone. Check out his commercial below...
Brad Pitt's SoftBank Commercial
Brad got big bucks from Japanese mobile phone company giant SoftBank to film this commercial, which also featured former Yokozuna sumo wrestler Musashimaru Koyo, and was directed by Spike Jonze. SoftBank loved Brad so much, they shot a second commercial with him. The first commercial features Brad Pitt as a personal assistant for Musashimaru. The Japanese at the end says, “If you use a cell phone, use a light one.” The second one features Brad Pitt as Musashimaru personal assistant again, this time at a restaurant. Cameron Diaz also did work for SoftBank and got paid $3 million for just 6 hours worth of work, so it's safe to assume Brad was offered at least double.
Julia Roberts's Lavazza coffee
Italians love Julia Roberts so much, they offered her $1.5 million dollars for a 45 second commercial in which she has NO lines. All she had to do was stand around and flash her gorgeous smile. She poses among the clouds as goddess Venus as an actor playing Renaissance painter Botticelli struggles to make her smile. At the end Lavazza coffee finally puts a smile on her face...that and the paycheck.
Cameron Diaz's Aeon Ad
Cameron Diaz speaks perfect English but for a few million she'll totally pretend she needs help in the English department. Cam got paid big money for this Aeon commercial, which is an English College in Japan. Celine Dion replaced Mariah Carey as the celebrity endorser for the school and Cameron Diaz replaced Dion. They all made a killing from the commercial.
Madonna's BMW M5 Commercial
Thanks to the power of the internet most of us saw this BMW commercial featuring Madonna and Clive Owen that was directed by Madge's then hubby Guy Ritchie. But the commercial was actually intended for Sweden. Madonna fans helped spread the video on the internet and within hours it was on just about every website. In case you missed this video from 2008, check it out below...

Both stars are reportedly in talks with the The Weinstein Company to star in the big screen adaptation of the Tony-winning play August: Osage County.
According to Deadline, both actresses have already agreed on the project and now they are in the process of locking in the deal.
Streep will play Violet, the drug-addicted matriarch of the working class Weston clan and Roberts will play Barbara Fordham, the oldest daughter in the family. That sounds very interesting, especially since both ladies are amazing actresses!
They are supposed to start production sometime next summer.

We'd watch any movie she's in, simply because she's delightful on the big screen. And now that Julia is back in the limelight after a long hiatus with her new flick Eat Pray Love, she admits the industry has really changed for the worse.
She says, "It has to be very confusing and difficult to be a young woman in Hollywood today. The focus is so surgical on these girls - on everything they wear and every little detail on their lives in a way that I think is kind of negative.
"I don't know how they handle it. It has to make you feel insecure and you want to cave in on yourself or you prevail because you have good parents, good values and you protect your inner self. It's got to be hard.
"Showbusiness itself has changed and it's not treated in a treasured, magical way any more."
Sadly, she's right! Instead of concentrating on real stars, every magazine cover and news show revolves around reality show stars like the Jersey Shore kids. Sad!
