Jude Law is expecting his fourth child after having a brief relationship with a model named Samantha Burke.
While Jude was hoping to keep this relationship under the radar, the media found out who the baby mama was and got a ton of new info on her and their unborn baby. And now Samantha is speaking out via her lawyers about the whole situation.
"Samantha, her mom, and her family can affirm that Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy, and know that he will remain so as a father once Baby Sophia is born," says the statement.
"Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and well-being of this child, and appreciate your honoring her privacy during this special time."
Because the relationship was so brief, Jude initially demanded a DNA test, but it came back positive. They hooked up while he was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York City last year.
"Hardly anyone around here knew about her fling with Jude Law," a neighbor of Samantha's tells People magazine. "It was a well-kept secret."
Apparently when she first found out she was pregnant, she had a really hard time reaching Jude and had to finally tell him the pregnancy news through his publicist!
Jude, who has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost is going to have a busy fall and winter. Not only is his baby due this fall, he will appear in Hamlet on Broadway in October, and will star with Robert Downey Jr. in the Guy Ritchie-directed
Sherlock Holmes, opening on Christmas Day.
