NAME:Josh Duhamel BIRTH DATE:November 14, 1972 (Age: 42) PLACE OF BIRTH:Minot, North Dakota

Josh Duhamel was born Joshua David Duhamel on November 14, 1972, in Minot, North Dakota. Josh never set out to become a celebrity and only broke into the entertainment business due to good fortune.

When he was with his then-girlfriend in San Francisco, a modeling agent spotted his good looks and offered him a modeling contract. Josh ultimately accepted the offer and was able to land a variety of commercial work, more so than fellow model Ashton Kutcher.

Josh soon became restless in the modeling industry and jumped at the opportunity to play a lead role in Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray (2005). Despite the movie's poor performance, the role propelled Josh's career and he soon joined the cast of the daytime soap opera All My Children. Josh played Leo Du Pres from 1999 to 2002 and was nominated for three Daytime Emmy nominations, including a 2003 Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Despite his success on the show, Josh chose to leave All My Children in 2003, to further his acting career.

In 2004, Josh landed a lead role in the film Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, and went on to star in the television series Las Vegas (2003) alongside Oscar-nominated James Caan. He gained true popularity, along with a female fan base, when he starred in the horror film Turistas (2006) and Michael Bay's blockbuster hit Transformers (2007) as Captain William Lennox.
