‘Tudors’ star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was hospitalized on Tuesday after a suspected suicide attempt. Don’t do drugs people!
Jonathan has been struggling with his sobriety for years and has been in and out of rehab five times. He reportedly refused treatment by paramedics on Tuesday, so they had to call the police to take him to a nearby hospital in Maida Vale, north London.
A source said: "This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life."
Worried neighbors, who claim they saw him overdose on pills, said he was immediately rushed to the hospital. Those are some nosey neighbors. That’s boardline stalking right there.
One onlooker told The Sun newspaper: "I saw the ambulance arriving and was worried to death. Jonathan is a lovely guy. You see him all the time in the street. He says hello and is very pleasant. I hope he is fine."
A police spokesperson confirmed they had been asked to attend the incident. He said: "Officers were called by London Ambulance Service following reports of a man refusing treatment. The man was taken to hospital."
He was released from the hospital on Wednesday and had “no comment” when asked about the incident. What is he supposed to say? ‘Yeah I thought it would be fun to die’?
We wish Jonathan well. He’s an amazing actor, it would be a shame to lose him.
