Mad Men Star Jon Hamm Used to Work in Porn Industry

Yeah, and his porn name was “Jack Hammer” whhaaat!!! I’m kidding, that’s gross and also Jon Hamm wasn’t an “actor of adult films” he was the set designer on adult films. Which is still skeezy, because he stood around and said, “You know, we should really throw a quilted blanket on this bed” while people are boning on said bed.

Before Jon Hamm was starring on “Mad Men,” he was struggling more than the average struggling actor.

“Essentially, I had to move furniture around sweaty, naked people. It wasn’t a great job but the money was useful. I had to get by – I wanted to be an actor.”

I mean, most struggling actors are waiters before they get famous. There are ways to avoid the porn industry, I’m just saying, Hamm is acting like someone forced him onto a porn set and was like, “Start moving around the sofas!”

However, Hamm wants everyone to know…”Let me just stress there was no penetration – it was soft-core porn.”

Great, super great, soft-core is not a big deal at all, it’s basically “The Notebook,” everyone can agree that that is not embarrassing at all.

However, Jon did have several other jobs when he was struggling to find acting jobs, including bartender, writer and teacher.

“It was bleak,” says Hamm, “that was part of a three-year period where I was solely rejected. I had given myself ‘til my 30th birthday. I moved out to LA when I was 25 and I figured it I can’t make it in five years of trying, then it’s time to pack up.”

I guess I can say, the rest is history.
