Jon Gosselin has gotten himself into a financial and legal mess. He’s now being sued by TLC!
The network announced this morning that they were pursuing legal action against Jon for breach of contract. This is a result of Jon stopping production on his show
Jon & Kate Plus 8.
According to the legal papers filed by Paul Gaffney of Willaims and Connolly in DC and obtained by
TMZ, the day TLC renamed the show Kate Plus 8, Jon's lawyer contacted TLC and demanded that they release him from the "exclusivity" provision of the contract, even though Jon was still getting a paycheck.
The suit claims Jon's lawyer gave the firm an ultimatum to either release him from the exclusivity clause within one hour, or Jon would block the filming of the TLC show on grounds it was "detrimental to his children."
TLC says Jon is a liar, and had never talked about the well-being of his children in all the years of filming, and only brought it up when his paycheck was on the line.
