Jon Gosselin is responding to the claims
Kate Gosselin made today that he drained the couple’s bank account.
Kate said on the Today show
this morning that Jon had taken out all of the money from their account leaving her with just $1000. Kate says she’s now broke and unable to pay her bills or provide for her family.
But Jon blasts Kate’s claims, saying he didn’t leave her high and dry, and can prove it. On an episode of The Insider that will air tonight, Jon says, "I've never taken any money out because over ten years, Kate handled all the banking.”
He continues, "Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000. She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That's like my paycheck.”
Jon goes on to say that Kate is just out to make him look bad. And he even turns the tables on his ex-wife, saying, "She's hiding money. We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account. She had a best-selling book. Where's that million dollars?"
"I didn't want these things to come public. I didn't want this to be embarrassing for her."
This is getting quite messy! For Jon and Kate’s sake, not to mention their children, will a team of financial advisors please step in?!
