Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin are officially separate entities. According to TMZ, their ten-year marriage is officially over. Today Judge Arthur Tilson has signed the final divorce papers, severing marital ties between Jon, 32, and, Kate, 34.
The division of the couple’s assets has not yet been revealed. However, Kate's attorney confirmed that she "will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home" in Wernersville, PA.
Jon's attorney Mark Heller tells Hollyscoop, "While the arbitration proceedings are still a work in progress, Jon & Kate will remain binded in their commitment to their eight wonderful children. Jon is confident that he and Kate will be able to move forward in a fashion that will be in the best interest of the Gosselin family."
Kate seems pleased with the news, saying, "I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children" and "restructuring our lives."
And while Kate’s time in court is over, Jon will have to return for a separate matter. On Dec. 10, Jon was ordered by a Maryland judge to stop making media appearances because TLC claimed the reality dad had been violating his contract with them.
Hopefully this is the last we hear of Jon and Kate for a very long time!
