Jon & Kate Plus 8
September 8, 2011

Now that Kate's reality show has been cancelled Jon feels the need to dole out some fatherly advice (where was this help before they divorced?)
Anyways, Jon has some biting words for his ex wife.
"Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life - a simple life. Provide for your family."

Her next foray into TV is a reality show about her life after Jon. The big question was whether the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry would allow the children to be on the show.
DWTS Finally Gives Kate Gosselin the Boot
Last week, Kate’s brother and sister-in-law made a huge stink about the kids appearing on the show, saying it was borderline child abuse. But the state officials decided today that the kids would be permitted to be on the new show, entitled Kate Plus 8, alongside their mother. There’s one stipulation—they must get child labor permits this time, something they didn’t have on Jon & Kate Plus 8.
The kids are probably rolling their eyes that they have to continue to be on camera. They could probably use a little privacy in their lives!
Do you think Kate is doing her kids a disservice by having them be on another reality show? Or is she just trying to pay the bills and provide for them?

Jon then countersued TLC, claiming the network caused him to suffer harm to his "reputation." They have made a deal however, although the terms of the settlement are confidential.
TLC said in a statement released Wednesday, "TLC has reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin and will be undertaking procedural steps to conclude the litigation. All terms of the settlement are confidential. The whole Gosselin family remain under contract with TLC.”
The Gosselin family’s future with television is still up in the air at this point. Last week, Fox411 reported that Jon and Kate Gosselin were in talks to resume filming with their children.
Jon said at the time that he was willing to let his kids back on the show if TLC dropped their lawsuit. So perhaps this means we’ll be seeing the fam back together on TV!

TLC filed a request to have the reality show dad banned from making any further media appearances, saying he was in violation of his contract. And since Jon wasn’t there to defend himself, the judge had no problem siding with TLC.
Radar reports that TLC Chief Operating Officer Edward Sabin slammed Jon’s behavior on the stand, claiming the numerous appearances he made over the summer “made the show look bad.”
“Photos of Jon Gosselin with scores of bikini-clad women was inconsistent with our image brand of our show,” Sabin said, referring to a pool party Jon hosted in Vegas.
Sabin also said Jon had a “series of last straws,” including taking money from “entertainment programs where the folks sit around and gossip about celebrities’ lives.”
Sabin said TLC had intended on renaming Jon & Kate Plus 8 with Kate Plus 8, and they had planned on still playing Jon. The network released the following statement:
“We are pleased with the Court’s ruling today. The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a valid, binding contract and that he has breached it repeatedly. Step one — getting the court to order Mr. Gosselin to comply with his contractual obligations — has been accomplished. Any further breaches going forward will be violations of a court order. We look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue our claim for damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin’s numerous breaches.”
Do you think this court ruling is fair?

Jon & Kate Plus 8 finale aired on Monday but Kate was clearly not happy about the show coming to an end. "I feel like it's been taken from us, from me and the kids," she said according to Popeater.com.
In a separate response, Jon told the camera, "Our marriage fell apart and I felt like I was free. And I kinda took advantage of it for a while and didn't really think about my actions, obviously, until I started getting paparazzi and written about. But that's maturing. That's growing up."
Did you happen to catch the finale? Check it out on Popeater.com and tell us, will you miss Jon & Kate?

According to reports, America's most couple will reunite to talk about the past, present and future of their family for the season finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8, which is set to air on TLC November 23.
The finale episode will include Kate's trip with the kids to a dairy farm and a firehouse will round out the final broadcast of the show, reports Radaronline.
We're so over these two we just can't for the show to be over and for their 15 minutes to end. Are you over the Gosselins or will you tune in for the finale?

The New York Post reports that production will stop completely in mid November. This comes just a couple weeks after the network decided to change the name to Kate Plus 8, after Jon forbade cameras to film his children.
People reports that the kids have been crying since the TV crew has left their home. You have to remember that these kids have grown up with the crew their entire lives! They don’t know anything different! Just another reason kids on reality shows are never a good idea!
The 8 children are the ones who will suffer. We hardly believe both Kate and Jon would ever stoop to get “real” jobs to support their children. They’re probably out looking for their next TV deal as we speak!

He tells Entertainment Tonight he wants to "continue on television" and that he's "not worried about future employment."
Well, while he's sitting pretty, we're sure Kate cares a little bit about her ex's source of income. They do have 8 kids together!!! Jon has finally come forward to admit his fault when it came to withdrawing money from the couple's account. He says, "It was just after arbitration and we weren't supposed to take money out of the restrictive account and we both did. I was found in contempt for doing so. I didn't realize, I thought I was just taking my paycheck out."
Jon says, "I'm gonna be truthful and abide by the court and I'll put it back. And she has to do the same."
We wonder where Jon's going to come up with the $155,000 missing from the joint account! He'd better hurry up and get another TV deal!

The October 16th episode, entitled Reality Bites, will be about a reality show called Larry Plus 10, about a single dad raising 10 adopted special needs children by himself after his wife, Joy, is killed.
The New York Post describes the plot: "Detectives Lupo and Bernard (Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson) grow suspicious when it's revealed that Joy Johnson wasn't totally on board with doing the show -- she feared for her kids' privacy -- and that Larry, a real estate developer deeply in debt, signed the lucrative Larry Plus 10 contract the day after his wife's murder."
There's also a character named Belinda Alvarez who resembles Nadya Suleman, who has 10 kids via in-vitro fertilization, and is competing with the Johnsons to get the show.
Sounds all too familiar! Let’s just hope life doesn’t imitate art in this case!

TLC says Jon will continue to be a part of the show, but just less often. Beginning November 2nd, the show will focus more on Kate’s new role as a single mother.
So what will Jon do with all this free time on his hands?? A source says he is "still working out the details" for his next projects. In the meantime, he has been shopping around his own reality show called The Divorced Dads Club, costarring Michael Lohan.
That’s a trainwreck waiting to happen!
