Johnny Depp is praised as a real life hero after saving a group of extras from being hit by an out-of-control car.
Depp was shooting scenes for his upcoming flick 'Public Enemies,' when a stunt driver in a 1933 Ford accidentally sped up and almost hit 6 extras who were standing with their backs turned.
An eyewitness tells British newspaper News Of The World, "Johnny slammed into the group with arms outspread, shoving them all back."
