Johnny Depp worked with Angelina Jolie on the movie The Tourist, so now that it's time to do press for the film, they have to act like they're BFFs and love each other.
Depp talked about how normal Angie is in the new issue of Vanity Fair, and I'm just having a teensy bit of trouble buying all of it.
"Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise,” Depp said.
"You don't know what she might be like - if she has any sense of humor at all. I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal," he added, "and has a wonderfully kind of dark, perverse sense of humor."
Ok, I believe the perverse part-that's the old Angelina, and none of us have seen that blood vile-wearing side of her in years.
Johnny then compares to Elizabeth Taylor of all people. "I've had the honor and the pleasure and gift of having known Elizabeth Taylor for a number of years," Depp said. "You know, you sit down with her, she slings hash, she sits there and cusses like a sailor, and she's hilarious. Angie's got the same kind of thing, you know, the same approach."
This is the real bitch please part of the article-explaning what the Brangelina bunch has to deal with on a regular basis when it comes to paparazzi.
"Poor thing, dogged by paparazzi, her and her husband, Brad [Pitt] ... all their kids," he said. "There are times when you see how ridiculous is this life, how ludicrous it is, you know, leaving your house every morning and being followed by paparazzi."
Yes, that poor woman. Between herself and her husband, they make more money than the entire country of Hungary, which is where they're currently set up before jetsetting to another country and buying a bazillion dollar chateau.
