Kelly Preston will reportedly open up about losing her son Jett for the first time at an upcoming women’s conference in the fall. Jett died while the family was vacationing in the Bahamas in January.
The upcoming event is the California Governor’s Conference for Women, and Kelly is expected to speak of her loss during the “Grief and Resilience” panel. Kelly will reportedly be joined by John Edwards’ wife Elizabeth and actress Susan St. James, who have also lost their sons.
Maria Shriver said, “Their goal is, ‘If I can help one other woman through this then it will be worth it.’”
Another person speaking at the event is Kate Gosselin. She was chosen prior to the divorce proceedings with Jon, but Maria has decided to keep her on board. She said, “I think her life has certainly changed dramatically, but so be it. I think that’s the beauty of this conference — to have Madeleine Albright and Kate Gosselin at the same place.”
