The cause of death is unknown at this time, but Rand Memorial Hospital in the Bahamas confirmed the death to TMZ.
Travolta has denied that his son is autistic but confirmed that he suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.
Speaking about Fatherhood, Travolta told People magazine back in 2004, "I can't imagine what life would be like without Jett." Our hearts go out to the Travolta family. Such tragic news, and right at the beginning of the New Year.

According to police spokeswoman Loretta Mackey, who spoke with the Associated Press, Jett hit his head in a bathtub Friday morning and was declared dead at Rand Memorial Hospital. According to a police statement, a caretaker found Jett unconscious in the bathroom around 10 a.m

Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, the family attorney Michael Ossi said. Attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene, Ossi said.

Jett's body would be transferred to Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium in the Bahamas on Monday, TMZ reports.
