John Travolta's Former Secretary: Of Course I Knew He Was Gay

Actor John Travolta is back in the headlines again and the accusations appear to be getting closer to home.

The rag mag, National Enquirer, interviewed Travolta’s former secretary and the ex-boyfriend of one of Travolta’s former employees who both come forward claiming the actor is gay and alleging Travolta had a six year affair with his former pilot.

Joan Edwards, Travolta’s secretary from 1978 to 1994 says, “Of course I knew he was gay.” And lest we think her insensitive for outing her employer of 16 years, she adds, “It never bothered me.”

She then brings another former Travolta employee into the spotlight, Doug Gotterba a pilot Travolta hired in 1981. Continuing to burn bridges Edwards says of Gotterba, “He told me that John was gay and they had a sexual relationship.” But its ok for her to divulge cause her and Gotterba are friends. Are you still sure about that, lady?

Then the magazine drags one of Gotterba’s post-Travolta ex-boyfriends, Robert Britz, out of oblivion. Britz claims that Gotterba had confessed to “a homosexual relationship with John Travolta in the 1980's.”

Obviously not one with a concept of propriety, Britz goes on to say that Gotterba claimed, “John was constantly grabbing at his genital area, but he put up with John's sexual advances because working for him was 'lucrative.’”

Then there’s a bit about Gotterba being repulsed by Travolta's excessive body hair and extreme weight fluctuation… but let's not really go there.
Actually, why are we going here at all?

Yes, many people are coming forward to claim that Travolta is gay. No, it’s not really any of our business.

Travolta's attorney, Marty Singer, has not responded to our request for comment.
