John Travolta Remembers Heath Ledger

B<>John Travolta has opened up about the death of Heath Ledger. He says he met him briefly but he definitely made an impact on the stars life.

He tells Woman's Day magazine, "He was my favorite actor and my favorite talent. It's like losing James Dean.

"I wanted to meet him because I was very impressed with him from the very beginning. His agent introduced me to him at a party, and I just fell (in love). Actors need other actors to be inspired by, and he was my actor."

He was definitely a great actor and it was only the beginning of his very long career in Hollywood. I’m still in shock over his death.

That's a bit much. I think John Travolta is just trying to separate himself from Tom Cruise right now. He never even worked with Heath. Besides, those are suface comments that could be made by anyone. And then to say that he would give up all his awards for Heath to be back? How disingenuous. Say youd give up one of your planes--then I would know that you actually cared.

It's amazing how, not even in moments of sorrow, people can't resist to criticize others, can't resist the temptation to be mean. John Travolta has the right to say what he feels like. And giving up planes or awards is the same. I wish people could really learn the meaning of love. The world would be so much better.

surface comments or not, if you click with someone then thats real, you dont have to have worked with someone or live in each others pockets to not have genuine feelings for them. and well after having worked with hundreds of stars and being a father im sure that giving awards up would be easy , knowing whats real and meaningful to you, what things matter the most. lay off travolta, i never even met them both and i already think heath was a bloody pratt and should have gotten help he wasnt simple and just something else in this crazy world that makes me feeling sorry, i suppose heath was probably ok under it all. my sympathies x

I personally agree who are you to say that Johns feelings are fake, and as for a plane vs an award, a plane is something he can go out and buy again if he wanted to, but you cant buy an award, you get that from hard work and talent

John only speeks from the heart! He only ment well and to share all our pain that we as a humans feel when we loose a loved one. we have sufferd a great loss when Heath left this world. I love John for speeking with passion for Heath. I love all human life and feel sorry for those that don't feel at all or has something negative to say about someone elses pain. shame on you for saying anything ugly. Why does everyone mention Johns plains??? omg This man has done nothing to anyone but yet everyone wants to say something negative why ??? John has passion for life and is a very accomplished man so back off and let all involved griev in there own way .
