The autopsy of John Travolta's 16 year old son Jett Travolta is officially complete. And preliminarily reports confirm that there was "no foul play."

Two doctors conducted the autopsy this morning, including a U.S.-certified pathologist, who flew in to the Bahamas just for this. The Travolta family doctor was also present.

"It is not a suspicious death. The body wouldn't already be turned over to the mortuary if there was anything suspicious," a source close to the investigation told E! news.

Jett suffered a seizure while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas over the holiday. He reported hit his head on a bathtub and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston posted a statement on John's official website thanking fans for their support and condolences.

"We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences.

"Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives," said John Travolta and Kelly Preston.

Such a tragic start to a New Year. We can't even imagine the grief they're going through right now.

Jett's body is currently at Grand Bahama's Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium, waiting to be transported back to their family home in Florida. A press conference is expected later this afternoon, so stay tuned for more details!

UPDATE:
According to the death certificate that was issued today, Jett, who had a history of health problems, was killed by a "seizure." Because there was no foul play, the body will be released to the Travolta family today.

somehow, I see a problem with the speed with which all of this was processed-I suspect Scientology and medications and the unablility of Scientology to regognize a disorder of the mind will show us new information when the report becomes public-which, like all birth notices are public access.
