We are making all sorts of history! John McCain has surprised us all and picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Governor Palin is the first woman nominated to run on a national ticket by the Republican Party.
If elected Palin will have a full plate. She is the mother of five children!
Just some tidbits on Sarah:
- She was the 1984 runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant.
- She worked as a sports reporter at an Anchorage television station.
- Graduate of the University of Idaho.
- Palin is the youngest governor of Alaska.
- She is also the first female governor of Alaska.
- She is a pro-gun rights.
-She is against abortion.
-She is against gay marriage.
