When happens when two mega celebrities get together? The press goes straight to the ex's. Friends of John Mayer's ex Minka Kelly are speaking out about her breakup with John insisting he had the decency to call her before she found out about his new romance with Jennifer Aniston through the press.

A Kelly pal said, "Minka [above] received a call from John prior to the story breaking about his relationship with Jennifer. He apologized to Minka, 'Sorry, but I'm really in love.' "

She found that interesting as, "during his relationship with her, John mentioned, 'I don't really get this Jennifer Aniston thing.' "

John has been linked to half of Hollywood before but we have a good feeling about him and Jenn!

It sounds like John exercised some consideration for his ex by telling her about his new relationship, clearly more of a man than Brad Pitt. Minka's all hooked up with Jeter anyway, said to be engaged.

She must've really won him over. It's not surprising though because everyone seems to love her. If he honestly said " I don't get this Jennifer Aniston thing" and then he ends up falling in love with her - that speaks volumes right there. It's not about looks - it's about what's in the heart. She's got a huge heart and he realizes it!

I don't think it will last but I they make a hot couple. Jennifer is beautiful and is looking happier and vibrant than when she was with Pitt. John, isn't the best looking but has an aura about him. I think the two are both extremely intelligent people and probably found an attraction that is deeper than appearance.
