John Mayer Talks About Split

So the rumors of breaking up were true! John Mayer confirmed that he and Jennifer Aniston split when he talked to reporters while leaving the gym. Yes, you heard correctly! He talked to reporters while leaving the gym!

"There's no lying, there's no cheating, there's no nothing," Mayer said.

There's no bad blood between the two because John thinks that, "Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met."

John says that things didn't work out because, "People are different, people have different chemistry...I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."

Atleast he's honest! Sadly, weekly mags were reporting that the two were ready to walk down the aisle and Jenn was reportedly even pregnant! How far from the truth could that have been?

From the last thread: Huvane's aggressive "marriage, kids" sales scared Mayer off, but Huvane got beaten to the chase when Mayer's camp said HE is the one did the dumping, first. Now Huvane is trying very hard to remedy that, but this is too late. That Brad impersonator model he hired to replace Mayer was too obviously wrong, so now it's the usual trusty "dark, handsome mystery man" she 'dates' usually. At this point Aniston/Huvane's lies have become such a routine we can smell them from miles away. Too bad she has no movies to sell now.

So many other threads are blaming the break up on John. I said and will continue to say...JEN PICKED HIM. I don't feel sorry for her. I'm sure she will be on Oprah and the minivan crowd will love all over her and she will be praised again as America's sweet heart. Excuse me I feel a bit ill.

I might be a minority but I think Mayer sounds honest here. He isn't sugar coating anything, but just stating the facts as it went. Jennifer on the other hand never comes out to say anything herself, but let others around her do the dirty job. She trashed Brad indirectly using her friends in 2005. I think that's passive-aggressive and not very becoming.

Pen: When Jen did bring up Brad in her Vanity Fair interview she was blasted by the brangeloonies for throwing a freakin' pity party. NOW, she keeps her mouth shut and doesn't feel the need to address her break up to the public and that doesn't win her any points. If you don't like her then why are you so hung up on her spilling her guts?!! Passive-Aggressive> NO, that would be her ex husband, Pitt, who never addressed his divorce/separation but instead allowed Jolie to speak about the messy rumors regarding the infidelity in everyone of her interviews! Pen, Brad and Angie are the ones that "trash" talked thru others. Their PR machine released all kinds of lies (Jen not wanting Brad's baby,the marriage being over long before meetin Ange)which was not true but they felt the scandal would be career ending if they didn't do the "she deserved it" spin. I guess Brad and Angie would have used friends, if they had any.

As for the marriage being over way before Jolie. Try again. The proof was in Brad's interview with Diane Sawyer (one year prior to the separation and meeting Jolie) he claimed he wanted "little Jen's" running around the house. Jolie threw the monkey wrench into that plan. And by the way, who fabricates a relationship just to get even with an ex (after 3 years)? That's the mentality of Jolie fan.
