John Mayer Loves Xanax

While Paula Abdul has been stocking up on happy juice, John Mayer has been loading up on happy pills.

Mayer recently confessed that he carries around a supply of anti-anxiety drug Xanax with him at all times for a quick pick me up.

"There are these incidental kinds of loopholes in my brain, where the wires can cross for a second and the hard drive crashes," he tells Best Life.

"You can create dark neighborhoods in your mind as easily as you can create rural wonderlands."

Ummm...ok! Whatever you say John.

This is total bullshit. He carries one pill IN CASE of an emergency. Have you ever had a panic attack? Not too much fun, buddy. He has suffered from these since he was a teenager and he had the strength to overcome them and be able to perform in front of thousands of people every night. But instead of going with an inspirational story, you chose to take it all out of context and portray him as a druggie. I've had panick attacks and they suck big time. I hope John gets better and learns how to handle those moments. I know they are hard and we should not judge someone because they have an illness. Sometimes medication is the difference between a normal life and a hellish one... Give the guy a break...

OMG - I hate the media and their spin. He doesn't carry a "supply," he carries ONE. ONE pill. JUST IN CASE. Another article referred to his Xanax pill as "one of the same drugs Heath Ledger died from." WHY does the media try SO HARD to bring people down or make them look bad? And if you're going to report what he said, REPORT IT AS IT WAS SAID, not your spin.
