John Mayer Lands Variety Show Deal

In September Hollyscoop reported that John Mayer was in talks to host a variety-type show for CBS, and it looks like the deal is sealed.

According to TMZ, John will host a weekly music, variety, and sketch show for the network as early as 2009. Ken Ehrlich, who produces the Grammy’s and the Emmys, will co-produce the show with Mayer.

We just can’t see John as a good host for a live show! He always has a lot to say, but does it either via his blog or ranting at the paps. Hopefully he go to some sort of training before the show airs.
