ABC’s series premiere of “Duets” took place on Thursday night. The show takes the celebrity “coach” idea of “The Voice” and instead makes the team sing together on stage, hence: “Duets.” The result is a lot of performances of songs that you forgot existed.
There are four judges total: Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Jennifer Nettles, and

Matthew McConaughey wasn’t the only star to get down on one knee this holiday season. John and Chrissy got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," Legend's rep confirmed.

In the midst of his presidential campaign ambitions, Donald Trump is suddenly talking a lot about President Barack Obama's nationality.
On Good Morning America, Trump said, "You may go back and interview people from my kindergarten. They'll remember me. Nobody comes forward [for Obama]. Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It's very strange. The whole thing is very strange."
No stranger than a reality show celebrity deciding to bring up the president's nationality right after expressing his desire to campaign.
And I'm not sure I remember anyone from my kindergarten, either. The only memory I have of another child is this b-tch who always wanted to build a church with the blocks when I wanted to build a school. And even then, if she was president, I'd probably have no idea.
Bill Cosby appeared on the Today show, saying "Oh please, with Donald Trump. The only thing he's running is his mouth."
Crooner John Legend is also fed up with Trump's mouthing off: "He needs to stop saying that racist bullsh-t. Quote me, please He should be ashamed of himself. It's awful, really."
I have a feeling when some people look at Obama, they see him with a headdress and loin cloth on. I mean, the dude has had to address and prove his nationality time and time again. If Trump has anything worthwhile to say about what to do in the US, it's being completely drowned out by his constant rambling over Obama's birth certificate.

Many are outraged by the cartoon, which featured a caption that read,"They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill," but editor Col Allan is defending it in a half-apology claiming that it "was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill" and not our current President.
Singer John Legend didn't take the cartoon caricature "joke" lightly and has written an open letter to the editor of the Post.
Read the letter below and let us know your thoughts on the cartoon:
Dear Editor:
I'm trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really?
Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our President has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?
If that's not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans.
Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can't imagine what possible justification you have for this. I've read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Rev. Sharpton. It's about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive.
I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I'm personally boycotting your paper and won't do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.
You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed.
I'm well aware of our country's history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don't need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new President, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.
Sincerely,
John Legend

Their lover’s quarrel turned into a violent attack, which eventually sent Rihanna to the ER. Chris has already released a public apology in regards to the attack, but is it enough?
Hollyscoop caught up some of the biggest stars in the biz to get their reaction to the Chris Brown and Rihanna altercation. Here's what they had to say:
Jay Z:
"It's not a sound byte, this is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that," he told Hollyscoop. "I just think we should all support her. She's going through a tough time. You have to realize she's a young girl, as well. She's very young."
John Legend:
“I know both of them. I was surprised when I heard because it doesn’t strike me as something Chris would do. You never know what’s inside people or what can trigger that. It’s an awful story. I feel terrible for both of them but if Chris did what they said he did, that’s unacceptable. He has to accept the consequences of it.”
Heidi Montag:
"I don't know what happened there, but our thoughts and prayers are definitely with both of them," Heidi told Hollyscoop exclusively. "It's a crazy situation and I just pray that everything heals."
Lindsay Lohan:
"I have no comment on that. That's not my relationship. I have no reason to speak about it. I think they're both great people."
Jermaine Dupri:
"I don't have any comment. I haven't heard anything, so I have no comment."
Gabrielle Union:
"I'd like to wait to comment when we actually have facts, but because we don't have any of those, I'm not going to comment on that specifically. But what is great about this unfortunate situation is that it can get the dialogue started about violence, whether that be gang violence, violence in schools, domestic violence, the war in Iraq, violence is never the answer, violence is not a means to an end. So, however you want to apply that...I know them both and I have not heard from either camp...So before we pass judgment we should probably wait and actually know what the hell we're talking about."
Carrie Underwood:
"I don't think anybody actually knows what happened. I have no advice because, thank goodness, I've never been in any kind of abusive situation. You hear a new one every five minutes, and some of them are getting kind of ridiculous. I really hope everyone will lay off and just let everybody who's involved figure out everything first."
Dwayne Wade:
"You know what, I don't want to say anything, because everything I've heard has been rumors. You hear 12 dif sides of the story, so until you know the truth you can't really talk about it."
Gayle King:
"I can't think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time," King tells Extra. "And my heart just aches for Rihanna."
Donald Faison:
"No, that's none of my business, I don't know anything that happened that night. So, no, I have no thoughts."

Legends rep was quick to deny any rumors that may have started from the casual meeting, insisting, "It is entirely false and he finds it offensive that his girlfriend has to read such lies."
Legend even provided the NY Post with a direct quote himself: "I am still happily dating my girlfriend, Christine Teigen, and have been for about a year now. Maria Menounos is just an acquaintance and we were having a friendly drink."
There you have it--straight from the source! Besides, why would he leave his girlfriend Christine for Maria? Maria's cute and all but Christine is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! If she looks familiar, its because Legend handpicked Christine for his 'Stereo' music video. The couple has been dating since.
April 7, 2008

John went on to congratulate the couple stating, "They're a wonderful couple, they're both extremely talented and extremely important to the music industry and to pop culture they're a pretty cool couple so I'm happy for them."
Looks like everyone was in on the wedding except us!

We have to admit, there is nothing more fun than being on the red carpet and getting good moments with our favorite celebrities.
When Hollyscoop hit the Sony / BMG after party this past weekend, we got the opportunity to chat with John Legend’s girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen.
Chrissy took on the role of a Hollyscoop correspondent and put her man John to the test with an intimate interview. Check out the video below.
