From John Edwards to Arnold: Scandalous Political Affairs

Closely resembling Mayor McCheese, John Edwards was grinning ear to ear in his mug shot earlier this month. I don't know if he thought it was Glamour Shots or something, but he looked way to happy for someone being accused of using campaign money to get laid.

The 58 year old senator plead not guilty to using $1 million of funds allocated for campaign costs to cover up his love child with videographer Rielle Hunter. If convicted, Edwards could face prison.

"There's no question that I've done wrong and I take full responsibility for having done wrong, and I will regret for the rest of my life the pain and the harm that I've caused to others," Edwards said after his court hearing. "But I did not break the law and I never, ever thought that I was breaking the law."

Criminal or not, Edwards' affair has landed him in a*sshole territory, along with a handful of other politicians. We're rounding up the most scandalous political affairs.

Weinergate. Anthony Weiner made a huge d-ck of himself when he accidentally showed the world a private picture of his penis. While he claims he didn't have an affair, porn star Ginger Lee, is claiming the two had a relationship that she was forced to lie about. Two lessons learned here: 1) read the instructions for your Smartphone and 2) unless you want her to star in porn, don't name your daughter Ginger.

The Sperminator. This scandal was shocking to everyone except anyone who ever saw Mildred Baena's son. Because dude looks so much like Arnold, he could be his stunt double. If Arnold ever works in this town again. Baena recently broke her silence by telling the media she confessed after Maria Shriver asked her point blank if she banged her husband. Then, according to Baena, Maria hugged her and told her it wasn't her fault.

Bill Clinton's Oral Office. Monica Lewinsky was only 21 when she got a White House internship in 1995. It was an unpaid internship, but she had a huge crush on President Clinton. After performing oral sex on Clinton in the oval office, Lewinski found herself in a full-blown (pun very much intended) affair. The two would often call each other for oral sex, and Linda Tripp, a friend of Lewinsky’s, secretly taped the phone calls. And who can forget that infamous blew dress? Oh, apologies, I meant blue.

Eliot Spitzer & the Emperor's Club. Spitzer used the alias George Fox to meet with prostitute Ashley Dupre at the Mayflower Hotel. The IRS and FBI uncovered the prostitution ring—called the Emperor's Club VIP, and found out Spitzer paid up to $80,000 for prostitutes over several years. The huge bust ultimately led to Spitzer's resignation from office.

The Many Affairs of JFK. He's lauded for being a Civil Right's activist and one of the greatest presidents of all time, but JFK was notorious for his extramarital affairs. He was referred to as the "master of the one-night stand", even having a fling with Marilyn Monroe, according to Florida senator George Smathers, a close friend of Kennedy's.
