Joan Rivers Gets the Boot

Joan Rivers

Things aren't looking so good for mother daughter duo, Joan and Melissa Rivers. Joan She just got the boot from the TV guide channel and has reportedly been replaced with Lisa Rinna. And if mommy's out of job, little Melissa is gonna be unemployed too.

Rinna's new red carpet gig will start with the Emmys in September, the network announced Wednesday. "It's my dream job," says Rinna.

Lisa Rinna will replace the mother-daughter Rivers team after the network failed to renew their contract. The President of the TV Guide channel insisted that there were no hard feelings and the network has decided to "go in a different direction."

"We have an incredible appreciation for what they have done for our network in three years. Everyone in the red carpet business owes a huge amount of gratitude to them."

The President really appreciates Joan Rivers, but Joan doesn’t feel the same way. We should expect a few attacks coming soon. "I will tell you my true feelings and experiences as soon as we finalize our new deal," she said in a statement.

i think joan rivers is just played out. her bitchiness was funny in the beginning but now its just annoying. lisa rinna is cute, but they need someone raunchy on tv. have you guys noticed there are no joan rivers types out there anywhere that celebrities are afraid of. its all commercialized now.

I Disagree with the termination. Joan & Melissa made the Red Carpet interviews what it is today. I never watched the TV Guide channel until they came to the program. This is another example of showbiz using you then shoving you to the side. Oh, and P.S. add some "color" to your channel. You diverse viewers but definately no diversity in your hiring !
