Tony Romo's teammates, just like the rest of the world, were "shocked" when they learned he dumped
Jessica Simpson the night before her 29th birthday.
"I was shocked, but there is a reason for everything, and you never know what is going to happen," Hamlin told Us Weekly on Monday after news of the breakup broke.
"His personal life is his personal life," Hamlin added. "I don't know what's going on."
Although some of Tony's teammates accused Jessica of being bad luck, Hamlin had nothing but nice things to say about her.
"I didn't give her no flack," he said. "Every time I met her, I had nothing negative to say about her. She did a good job."
Another source close to the couple claimed that the breakup had been a long time coming. , "They go from one fight right into another, without a second break. It's always something with Jessica."
