Garrison was greeted by friends and family as he left California Correctional Institute in Tehachapi in the early hours on Wednesday, and reunited with more pals at a special afternoon bash held at Joe and Tina Simpson's Encino, CA, reports Eonline.com.
In regards to his release, Lane said, "I'm blessed to be alive. I'm just worried about getting through treatment right now. I'm looking forward to getting on with my life and doing the right thing and helping people."
Jess was there to welcome him back home, but her sister Ashlee Simpson was a no show.
After the small gathering, Lane headed to a Tarzana Treatment Center, where he is set to attend rehab for the next five months.
He was originally set to serve 40 months in prison for a drunk driving incident in December 2006, which left a 17-year-old passenger dead, but he was released early due to good behavior.
