No Christmas Tree for the Simpsons

Every family has that one Christmas story they tell every year, for the Simpson’s, it’s more like an explanation as to why there's no tree.

Ashlee and Jessica Simpson never get to put gifts under a real Christmas tree because their mother refuses to put one up. Mamma Simpson had a mishap with a tree when the girls were younger and she's been traumatized since.

Jessica recalls, "She put 5,000 lights on a real tree - the first time we'd ever had one. And she's yelling at my dad to help, and he's reading a book. We hear this scream, and my poor mom has fallen off her ladder into the tree, and all you could see were her little feet sticking out the bottom... We have never again had a real tree."
