John Mayer Sticks Up for Jessica Simpson

Singer John Mayer is sticking up for his ex Jessica Simpson following the bad press she got from Sunday's game. Dallas Cowboys fans blamed Simpson for their teams loss and that clearly annoyed Mayer. Check out his latest blog:

DON'T EX WITH TEXAS

Dear Dallas and Surrounding Areas,

This isn't a sports blog, and it isn't a publicity stunt. (but have at me if it feels right.)

This is about doing what I think is right as a person, in this case speaking my mind.

I have never known anyone to have more pride in their home state and their upbringing in it than Jessica Simpson has in Texas. I don't really follow sports, but I have played some of my biggest and best concerts in your state, and having witnessed how dynamic the spirit there is, I'm betting emotions are running high right about now.

All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It's one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don't try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn't be able to, but it's less work for all involved.)

I just thought it would mean something coming from the guy who has the absolute least to gain from this. And if I'm out of line in having written it, too bad. I can spare a Wednesday's worth of bad press if it means sticking up for a good soul.

The best thing that Jessica could do for herself right now, is to get out of the limelight, get to know who she is and what she wants in life and not what her father want for her. It is so clear that this Tony thing is about PR. She showed up just in time for her movie to be released. It backfired in a major way. She is looking more and more like an idiot. Still taking vacations with her father, and she calls herself an adult. Jessica has absolutely nothing to bring to the entertainment world. It is time to just stop and do some soul searching and stop thinking that she has to have a man by her side to be relevant. Her sweet innocent little act just do not work. She is not a good role model. She saved herself until she was married, which is a very good thing, however, after she got married she decided to commit adultry. She is not too bright, and her mother need to stand up to her father and tell his crazy money hungry self to just stop it. As a preacher, he should know that the love of money is the root to all evil. HE is pimping Jessica like a two dollar ho.

Sorry John but you too are sick of her other wise why aren't you two together? Jessica Simpson is an embarassment to herself and Texas. Her family brag that they would buy and wear clothes then take them back for a refund and this was while Joe was a preacher, how materialistic and self absorded even back then.
