Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday and just like Beyonce, Jessica reportedly rented out one of those deluxe maternity suites, because celebrities don’t just get “the maternity ward.”
The "Fashion Star" panelist gave birth at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles where a special VIP birthing suite costs $3,784 a day!
According to reports, Jessica rented out the best option they have: A 3-bedroom, 2-bath suite that features complimentary chilled juices and bottled waters, flat screen TV’s, complimentary haircuts, mani and pedis, a basket of fresh fruit and muffins, and one deluxe meal for the pregnant woman’s partner selected from a “special menu” aka NOT hospital food.
Each room is also outfitted with something called a “mothers assistant.”
The pictures used to promote the maternity suites on the hospital's website depict rooms decorated in ivory and deep reds, basically the maternity suite looks a lot like the honeymoon suite at a Hyatt in Florida, just don’t pay any attention to the hospital bed sitting right next to the pull-out coach and champagne rack.
In the maternity suites, the mom-to-be gives birth in a deluxe delivery room and then is whisked away to her private 3-bedroom suite for the remainder of the hospital stay.
Other optional amenities that Jessica could choose to splurge on include limousines, a private-duty registered nurse, or a lactation education consultant.
I don’t know what regular women would ever rent out these maternity suites, they should really rename them, “Celebrity baby momma suites,” but if you can swing it, the cheapest suite is a two room/one bath suite available for $2,673 per day.
When Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter, she rented out a 4-bedroom birthing suite in Lenox Hill Hospital in New York for $3,200 a night.
