In an interview discussing her upcoming wedding, Jessica Simpson has quite possibly announced the sex of her baby.
"My kid's going to think I'm pretty cool," Simpson told Us Weekly, talking about her creative pregnancy announcement. "This is a cool thing to welcome him to the world with."
If you're not good at pronouns, it looks like it's a boy for Jessica Simpson.
Oh, and it turns out that yes, Jessica is still getting married, but no, she's not going to be pregnant while she does it.
After a bunch of engagement postponement rumors, Simpson sets the record straight, saying that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are waiting to swap vows after the baby is born.
"We were always going to wait [until] after the baby" she told Us Weekly. "We flirted around with different dates before I found out I was pregnant, and thankfully we didn't lock anything down. I want to enjoy the day… I'm glad we didn't make a deposit."
Who can blame her for putting it off? No one wants to be crop dusting down their own wedding aisle. Simpson recently tweeted: "The average person expels flatulence 15 times each day! The average pregnant woman farts 15 times that!"
"I just didn’t want to be stressed out," Simpson explained of her decision to postpone. The two got engaged a year ago. "Now when I get stressed out it's like 50 times worse. So I really want to enjoy that day and now I get to have my baby with me."
As quiet as Jessica was leading up to her pregnancy announcement, she sure is talking a lot now. She recently told People: "Pregnancy was meant for me—it really was."
And she's already planning on having a mini entourage.
"I can't wait to have more kids. I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I've never had before."
She continued that: "Just knowing that you're creating a life is such a spiritual thing. Everything is growing, but you're making a life. It's pretty cool."
Jessica also says the whole "pregnant glow" thing is a myth:
"People always say that pregnant women have a glow," she says. "And I say it's because you're sweating to death. I think they just tell pregnant women they're glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional."
And luckily, her husband-to-be has been quite supportive.
"When I'm tired, I make Eric rub me," Simpson says. "Eric is very, very supportive. We're both extremely excited. He's been to every doctor's appointment with me. We just love it. We can't believe we get to do this, and we get to do it together. We're going to be a rock star family!"
