Jessica and John NOT Spending the Holidays Together

Despite conflicting reports on some other blogs, John Mayer and Jessica Simpson are NOT spending Thanksgiving together. According to Us Weekly John Mayer will be spending his Thanksgiving holiday in the Big Apple, and Jessica will be spending the holiday with her family back in Texas. Rumors were sparked when the duo were spotted together at LAX Airport on their way out of town.

Mayer's rep laughs off the idea that he would already be going out of town with Jess to meet the extended family. "A press release was issued several weeks ago stating that after his appearance on the American Music Awards on Tuesday, November 21, John would be flying to New York for his third consecutive Thanksgiving performance on The Late Show with David Letterman," she confirms. "This has become one of Mayer's favorite new holiday traditions. He has been on the phone with Paul [Shaffer]. collaborating on the arrangement since he was in Japan several weeks ago on tour and will be performing a song from his platinum-selling album Continuum that he has not performed on any other TV appearance to date. Mayer will then spend Thanksgiving with his family in Connecticut following the appearance."
