Fox Network Apologizes to Jessica for Mocking Her

Fox Networks and Burger King have both issued apologies to Jessica Simpson for airing a skit during NFL's Sunday Night Football, that made fun of Jessica's weight. A rep for Fox said in a statement:

"Burger King Corp. did not have any editorial input in the creation of the animation that ran last Sunday, and no one from Burger King Corp. approved it before it aired.

Upon reflection, our poor attempt at humor was insensitive and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended."

Burger King's statement reads: "Burger King Corp. has a long-standing relationship with FOX Sports, as well as an extensive media partnership with the network.

"The specific content for this sketch involving Jessica Simpson was not developed or aired by BKC or any of its agencies."

Simpson's rep has not yet commented on the sketch, or the attempted apology. We're sure Jess just wants this to be forgotten. It was definitely a little harsh, and must have been hard for her to watch! Do you think Jess should forgive Fox for the skit?

LOL Burge King making fun of someone's weight! That is like a cigarette company making fun of someone with lung cancer! Don't make fun of the people that MAKE YOU RICH!
