Jessica Simpson finally got her cover.
The latest issue of People magazine has the photos we’ve all been waiting for: the first shots of Maxwell Drew... And, despite her mom’s massive belly, she’s actually normal-sized.
Jessica and her soon-to-be husband Eric Johnson welcomed their first child into the world on May 1. Since then, we’ve all been clawing and scraping for a glimpse at what the little bundle of joy looks like. Fear not, 'cause she’s pretty cute.
Since the arrival, things have really changed for the family. (Who’d of thought?)
“From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything,” Jessica tells People. “Life has completely changed.”
Another thing that has probably changed is the singer's bank account. Jessica has been working just about every angle of this mommy thing.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, those photos that you’re thumping through today cost People a cool $800,000 to buy.
Jessica is also in the process of launching a maternity fashion section to her Jessica Simpson Collection. The clothing will be available at 700 stores including Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and Macy’s and range from about $36 to $69 per item. The venture will up Jessica’s annual fashion earnings to $1 billion a year.
And how about that baby weight? She’s making money off that too. Weight Watchers is paying Jessica a reported $3 million to drop the pounds.
What’s next? Auctioning Maxwell’s dirty diapers on ebay? How about selling subscriptions to the family’s Christmas card list? Gosh, I shouldn't be giving her ideas...
