Ashlee Simpson Approves of Big Sis' Relationship

The public is having some difficulty, but Ashlee Simpson reportedly approves of big sis’ relationship with John Mayer. "Ashlee loves John," a Simpson pal told People Magazine. "She think she is great for her. More importantly, Jess is happy."

"John seems very smitten," another Simpson pal says. The two seem really happy and it definitely took some time getting used to the two.

"When she was with Nick, she was really under her family's thumb," says a friend. "This is a relationship that is all hers."

Even Christina Milian approves the relationship, "Clearly this is a relationship that's not for the cameras. It's not about celebrity. It seems like they truly have an attraction to each other, and they're both clearly very talented as well."

I was a huge John Mayer fan before he was famous. I have loved and admired his talents all along. Lyrically and musically, he is incredible. What on Earth is he DOING with this nit-wit with the IQ of a popsicle stick? She offers very little to the music industry, she has no personality, and cannot even speak her own language. Remember her show with Nick and their happy marriage? A decapitated monkey would have been able to carry on more intelligent conversations. I guess the bottom line is that I have lost a tremendous amount of respect for him. I can't even listen to his music right now at all.

They are not a nice couple. It disgusts me that John has turned into such a jerk since he's started dating her. Everything that he says is a contradiciton now. He has COMPLETELY trashed his own standards and his fans by this cheap attempt to get more commercially famous. I hope that his career suffers terribly from doing something this stupid and transperant.

No, I'm not feeling this couple. ~yawn~ I think it will be detrimental to John's career unless they break up and he write mean and crazy songs about her (aka Eminem). ~yawn~ When her next movie/records flop and she will be in the $1 bin at Costco's, maybe Jessica will finally fall off the radar (with that whole dysfunctional family of hers- especially the father). ~yawn~ I hadn't seen them in the press in a couple of week and I thought all was right in the world. Then you brought them back...~ugh~

Yes, I think they are so sweet together. I have always thought so though. I think Jess is given too hard of a time in Hollywood; she definitely deserves the attention of the ubar hottie, ubar smarty John Mayer.
