Another Angelina Wannabe!

The Angelina effect is really getting to all thoese bottle blondes that are in desperate need of a man. First Sharon Stone and now Jessica Simpson. Later this month Jessica will lobby to members of Congress on behalf of a children's charity. The star will head to Washington, DC to speak with lawmakers about Operation Smile, an organization that provides surgery for children with facial abnormalities.

Simpson visited Africa last year as a guest of the charity group. A source close to the organization confirms, "She's in the phase of her life now where she wants to use her celebrity for good. "She's flying in on her own dime. This is her Angelina moment." Meanwhile the singer-turned-actress has hinted she is ready to abandon her music career for good, despite being contracted to release another three records. What music career? I never knew she could sing! Jessica wants to stick with acting since her acting debut "The Dukes Of Hazard" was such a success? She wants to be a serious actress. Serious actress? Let backtrack a year ago, wasn't Jessica the one who thought, "Buffalo wings" came from real buffalo?

Ok now I am gonn put my nice hat on and just mention that I am happy that celebrities no matter what their intentions are lending a helping hand. At the end of the day, thats all that really matters. So Kudos to you Jess! Seeeee I could be nice!!!
