Biography
Jessica Ann Simpson was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She began her career performing as a member of her church choir. Simpson rose to fame in the late 1990’s but became a pop culture icon and a tabloid favorite when she married Nick Lachey and starred in the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.

Jessica met Nick when she was given a role in the music video for 98 Degrees' hit song "My Everything," playing Nick’s love interest. The two began dating and dated for 2 years before they decided to ‘take a break.’ Then on September 11, 2001, Nick was supposed to be flying to NYC when the attacks on the world trade center occurred. Jessica immediately phoned Nick and the two then rekindled their relationship. They then married in a lavish ceremony on Oct. 26, 2002, in Austin, Texas.

Then three years after getting married the two decided to call it quits. Reports that their union was in trouble began surfacing when rumors of infidelity on both ends started making the media rounds. Since then Jessica’s personal life has been in the slumps going in and out of failed relationships.

In her professional life, Simpson has expressed interest in a country album as well as continuing to do movies.

Halle Berry is engaged, in case you didn't know. Her actor beau Olivier Martinez popped the question over the Holidays, but what you really need to take from this story is that the engagement ring is green. It's a diamond-and-emerald ring designed by Jeweler Gurhan, but really, it's a mood ring.

Halle Berry isn't the first celeb to get a colorful engagement ring. Call it tacky or call it festive, these are the celebs who thought it was a good idea to put a colorful sparkler on their ring finger.

Jessica Simpson: Jessica Simpson, who is most definitely the most classy lady in Hollywood ("Is this tuna or chicken?!") has a red engagement ring. The Neil Lane designed ruby red ring is flanked by two diamonds and is estimated to cost around $100,000.
You’re a brave woman, Sandra Bullock.

Bullock is slated to star in a 3-D space movie, titled Gravity. The Oscar winner will play the role of an astronaut trying to get back to Earth after her space station blows up. Director Alfonso Cuaron will lead the project, and he has told Sandra she’s not allowed to wear make-up.

Sandra looks good, but George Clooney is in this movie. I don’t care how good-looking you are, can you imagine meeting George Clooney without at least some mascara on?

Pregnant Jessica Simpson is looking at bridal shops? Wait! I thought she was waiting until AFTER she gives birth? Omigod, my entire Jessica Simpson timeline is thrown off. It was engagement first, baby second, wedding third. Now I have no idea how to feel about anything! Wahhhh.

Either way, Simpson was spotted visiting a Monique Lhuillier wedding boutique over the weekend in Los Angeles and no one tries on wedding dresses when your stomach is popping out. What is going on Jess!?
Yeah, you read that right. Jessica Simpson says she eats PB&J sandwiches like she's doing shots of tequila. Jessica Simpson stops by the Rachael Ray show to talk about her weird pregnancy cravings.

"This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," admits Simpson, "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

Besides that fact that salted PB&J sounds gross, dear old Jessica Simpson will still find a way to get crunk while pregnant. If you can't do shots for 9 months, you can at least pretend like you are. Bad for parenting, good for partying.

Through intense investigative reporting, we’ve determined the sex of Jessica Simpson’s baby to be one of two possibilities: girl or boy.

Wonder where I’m gonna hang my Pulitzer…

Anyway, even though she previously used a male pronoun in describing her baby, Jessica Simpson doesn’t really know her baby’s sex.

“I think it’s a girl,” Simpson said. “But I don’t know yet.”

It’s not exactly a tough thing to find out, but then again, this is the same chick who didn’t know what tuna was.

Her fiancé, Eric Johnson, disagreed with her prediction. “I think it’s a boy,” he said, adding, “We’re pretty much at a standstill there.”
Lots of secrets going on with this pregnancy. Not only did Jessica Simpson keep her baby bump on the down low from the public, she also took her pregnancy test without her fiancé knowing.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Jessica revealed that she didn't tell her man, Eric Johnson, about her suspicion of being pregnant.

"'I did the pregnancy test. I was feeling a little off", adding, "[I first told] Eric, of course. He was in the house. He didn't know that I was taking a pregnancy test, so I kind of shocked him".

From there, the pregnancy test did what pregnancy tests do best: make people cry. Simpson said they "both cried" after she told him the test's outcome.
In an interview discussing her upcoming wedding, Jessica Simpson has quite possibly announced the sex of her baby.

"My kid's going to think I'm pretty cool," Simpson told Us Weekly, talking about her creative pregnancy announcement. "This is a cool thing to welcome him to the world with."

If you're not good at pronouns, it looks like it's a boy for Jessica Simpson.

Oh, and it turns out that yes, Jessica is still getting married, but no, she's not going to be pregnant while she does it.

After a bunch of engagement postponement rumors, Simpson sets the record straight, saying that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are waiting to swap vows after the baby is born.

Bridezillas are bad enough, I don't even want to imagine a pregnant one.

Jessica Simpson might not have said much in the weeks leading up to her pregnancy announcement, but she's talking now. Jessica sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Samantha Harris to talk about babies, weddings, and uh, zits.

Simpson is promoting BeautyMint, her new skincare site. But more on that later, let's get the deets on that famous fetus, shall we?

Simpson told Harris that the reason she waited so long to publicly announce her pregnancy is because she believed the "stomach spoke for itself." It did speak for itself. And it was saying, "You think this baggy T-shirt is gonna stop me? Ha!"
Finally confirmed mom-to-be Jessica Simpson covered the December 2011 issue of Lucky magazine and talked about her clothing line, her weight gain, he engagement but mostly her weight gain.

In a magazine that’s supposed to be about shopping and style they spent a good portion of the interview interrogating Jessica Simpson about her weight. Since this interview was taken before she announced she was pregnant, It’s obvious this journalist was just dying to break the Jessica Simpson “fat or pregnant” story, so they treaded into some obnoxious diet commentary before actually talking about her new clothing line.

On her body:
“I like the way I look”

I guess she couldn’t get the $500,000 she was allegedly looking for, so Jessica Simpson just went ahead and announced her pregnancy online. Probably wanted to beat out Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, too.

On her personal website, Simpson posted a photo of herself in her Halloween costume. And she’s either going as a pregnant mummy or a fat chick wrapped in toilet paper.

Along with it, Simspon wrote: It’s true, I’m going to be a mummy!” Okay, mummy it is.

In the photo, Jessica holds her belly, a la Beyonce at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. And yes, pretty much anytime I see a pregnant woman doing that from now on, it’s going to remind me of Beyonce at the Video Music Awards.
