Jessica Alba Heading to Capitol Hill

Jessica Alba is headed to Washington, and no, she’s not going to be singing or dancing with the First Lady.

Alba will be on Capitol Hill May 24th and 25th as a spokesperson for the Safer Chemicals Healthy Families Coalition.

Alba hopes to convince Congress to co-sponsor the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011. The new bill aims to increase the safety of consumer products and increase public access to safety information.

The organization raises awareness about toxic and carcinogenic chemicals found in many children’s toys and cleaning products. Alba will speak at a press conference at 10 a.m
