Top 10 Ugly Celebrity Breakup Low Blows

Breakups bring out the worst in us. Especially if we’re simultaneously trying to promote a new book. Jesse James has recently gone on a Sandra Bullock bashing spree, accusing her of being phony, and suggesting she was responsible for his cheating.

Regarding her 2010 Oscar speech, James said: “She said that speech at four different awards shows. What does she do for a living?”

“I don’t hang out in the shop,” James said. “I hang out with the guys that are all greasy and dirty and that’s where I belong.”

I don’t know too many grease monkeys who get book deals, but okay.

Jesse certainly isn’t the first celebrity to bash their ex after a breakup. Here are some infamous ugly celebrity breakup low blows.

Charlie Sheen on Denise Richards: When they divorced, Sheen called Richards “a sad, jobless pig.” Funny how that worked out.

Pete Doherty on Kate Moss: Pete called Kate a “dirty old rag”. Coming from a guy who looks like a reanimated corpse who just ate a mouthful of chocolate, that’s pretty bad.

Tom Cruise on Nicole Kidman: Following their divorce, Cruise said his marriage to Kidman was a “passionless hell”. I guess she couldn’t keep up with his couch jumping.

Heather Mills on Paul McCartney: Both parties smack talked in this bitter divorce. Mills said of Paul, "I think he's got three different girlfriends. So I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me.” All you need is love. And three more women. Paul said, “there'll be no more nagging, no more chaos, no more Heather — bliss. I have peace at last."

Halle Berry on Gabriel Aubry: After she had a baby with and then split from Aubry, Berry called him a “borderline racist”, accusing him of getting angry when their daughter is referred to as “Black”.

Lindsay Lohan on Samantha Ronson: When she broke up with Samantha Ronson, Lindsay took to Twitter, writing: “Being cheated on does wonders to you. I'm doing this publicly because u & ur friends call People. So you win, you broke my heart. Now go away, I loved you.” There’s nothing like taking out your frustrations via social media. You get to vent—and everyone else gets free entertainment!

Taylor Swift on John Mayer: Swift was obviously referring to her relationship with Mayer when she sang, “Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone/Don't you think 19's too young to be messed with?" "Maybe it's you and your sick need to give love then take it away... I'll look back and regret how I ignored when they said run as fast as you can."

John Mayer on Jessica Simpson: Mayer called her “sexual napalm”, wisely adding that “drugs aren’t good for you if you do lots of them.”

Taylor Swift on Joe Jonas: Swift told Ellen DeGeneres, “When I look at that person, I'm not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18 … I looked at the call log — it was like 27 seconds. That's got to be a record.” I know 27 seconds seems short, but neither of their relationships have lasted much longer.

Hulk Hogan on Linda Bollea: When the Hulk’s ex wife began a relationship with a teenager, Hogan told Rolling Stone: “I totally understand OJ. I get it.” Damn, Hulk. You’re not even going to threaten her with an Axe Bomber, just going straight for the death threats, huh? No wonder she wanted a divorce.
