The TV gods have spoken… Season six of “Jersey Shore” is the last for the original cast.
When they arrived at the shore to start filming for the new season, producers reportedly sat the squad down to break the news. This season will be their final act.
That’s right… Snooki, Jwoww, Pauly D, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Cortese are doneski!
In Touch Weekly reports the news…
Some of you might be rejoicing. Others – strangely – might be upset. But the cast members reportedly didn’t seem to care either way.
“An executive producer announced that this season will be the last,” an insider told In Touch. “She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their 'A' game.”
Whatever that means…
But the breaking news doesn’t exactly come as a shocker. The show seemed doomed before filming even started. Namely, the stars of the show were becoming less reckless, which is great for their real lives, but horrible for us who have become accustomed to watching them make fools of themselves.
You may recall the news that Snooki won’t be living in "the shore house." Instead, she’ll be bunking next door in a private residence, to maintain a proper pregnant mother lifestyle.
In addition to that, "The Situation" is fresh out of rehab, and according to In Touch, is making amends with the other cast members.
If you find yourself asking, “Why is this show even still on?” then you know producers have already explored the conundrum…
Rumors have been circling that producers are looking for newer, more immature cast members. In the meantime, the current, played-out cast will do their best to enjoy the last trip to party town.
“They decided to make the most of their final days at the Shore,” said the insider.
Reps for "Jersey Shore" and the cast members have not responded to our request for comment.
