'Jersey Shore' Cast Wants You To Vote...Seriously

What’s the first thing you think of when I say the phrase “Jersey Shore?” New Jersey natives doing shots in hot tubs with freaky orange tans and poor life decisions? Ok, but after that…what do you think of? Registering to vote, right?

In what might be the most bizarre campaign ever, the hilarious people over at FunnyOrDie.com have captured the Jersey Shore gang talking very elegantly about American politics in a bid to get more young people registered to vote in the upcoming election.

Snooki starts out telling the gang that everyone needs to get political, because “she has a baby inside” her and needs to think about her unborn child’s future.

Sammi, being uncharacteristically smart, says that individual votes don’t matter and then Vinny, arguably the most intelligent dude on the show, says something about a “self-fulfilling prophecy” to which Pauly D jokes, “Yo, I think I heard Deena self-fulfilling last night.”

Deena then slaps Pauly D. Hopefully not with the hand she uses to "self-fulfill."

Pauly D tells the gang they have to GTL, but not the usual Gym-Tan-Laundry, they need to get in some “Game Theory Logic.”

Then Ronnie and Vinny get into a subtitled bro-fight on the merits of a two party system. A smack down over Duverger’s law? That’s some high-brow sh-t.

It’s jokes like that which tell me this faux “episode” was scripted by someone funnier than the “Jersey Shore” cast themselves.

Basically, the Jersey Shore crowd gets real smart and the result is hilarious. I think I heard someone say “hegemony.”

The best part is the end when the credits roll and the only credit is, “Written by Aaron Sorkin.”
