After Janet Jackson canceled a bunch of shows in October from her tour due to a mystery illness, the rumor mill began spinning that she may have a bun in the oven. Reports stated that
Janet Jackson, 42 and her beau Jermaine Dupri, 36, wanted to get married and have a child before it was too late.
Hollyscoop caught up with
Jermaine Dupri on the red carpet at the Grand opening of the SLS hotel in Los Angeles for some baby talk. It was a solo night for Jermaine Dupri, but he did tell Hollyscoop that Janet was doing just fine.
Speaking of Janet's reported pregnancy, Jermaine joked, “No, Ya'll stop saying that, when she gets pregnant everyone will know.” Not sure if that means she’s preparing for a child, taking prenatal vitamins or checking a home pregnancy test as we speak. Nevertheless, were going to take Jermaine’s word and stop asking about the baby and just wait until Janet’s baby bump is visible.
Recently, Janet told
Sister 2 Sister magazine that she was waiting for the right time to be a mom. She said, "At some point it's coming. When? I have no idea. He has been past ready. He's just waiting for me; I'm the one holding up the whole thing. Everyone tells me that there will never be a good time, that I will always be busy, but I just think when the stars are aligned it will happen.
Hopefully the stars will be aligned in Veil, Colorado, since Jermaine revealed to Hollyscoop that the couple is headed there for the holidays. As to what they will be doing in Veil, Jermaine simply replied, “Partying.” Well if Janet skips out on the eggnog, we'll know why!
